Submit to G!
Every month, we here at G! Magazine work hard to put together a fun, entertaining publication that everyone will enjoy. And while we totally love what we do – writing infotainment articles for Islanders – we are always on the look out for aspiring writers who would like to have their work published. If you would like to build your portfolio by having your work published in a Transcontinental publication (the same folks who bring you The Guardian, Journal Pioneer, Chatelaine, MacLeans plus many other print publications), then we want to hear from you!
Take a look at our guidelines for submissions and see if you’ve got what it takes to be in the pages of G!
Guidelines for submissions
Content: Articles should be written by and related to PEI, Islanders or interesting things Islanders are doing, here or abroad. Fashion, fitness, music, film, business – the world is your oyster when it comes to content! We look for creative, irreverent articles Islanders would be interested in reading in our magazine. A journalism background isn’t necessary, but a passion for writing sure is!
Word Count: 300 – 700 words
Photography: If you have pictures to accompany your article, we ask that they be high resolution (1 MB or higher), captioned with who is in the photograph, what they are doing and with the photographer’s name. If you are using someone else’s photography, we need to know that you have their permission to use it. If you require photography to accompany your submission, please contact Gtalk@transcontinental.ca and G! will arrange to have photographs taken.
Deadlines: Please submit your article by emailing it to Gtalk@transcontinental.ca with the subject line ‘Submission for G!’ along with your name and telephone number. We will accept all submissions for consideration to be printed in future issues.
And if you ever need help with a topic, feel free to email us anytime at Gtalk@transcontinental.ca and we’ll help you out!
Happy Reading (and Writing!)
